剧情介绍：“绿怪”史莱克(麦克·梅尔斯配音)的故事依然在延续。而这一次，爱人朋友却一个都不
少。如愿和心爱的菲奥娜公主(卡梅隆·迪亚兹配音)结成连理之后，史莱克终于能在众朋友的陪伴下在自己的沼泽丛林乐园里过着幸福的小日子了，然而等着他们的却是继承“遥远王国”的国王和王后之位的使命。别说懒散成性的史莱克了，就连曾经尊贵美丽的菲奥娜公主，也分外挂念沼泽地里的泥藻谷和自由广阔的生活。两人一心想离去，而病重的老国王哈罗德显然又无法继续操劳国事。双方在一番争吵之后终于想出了一个折衷的解决办法，由史莱克带着他的两个贴身好友，那只话痨一般的贫嘴驴(埃迪·墨菲)和关键时刻玩可怜的靴子猫(安东尼奥·班德拉斯)，一同去把即将从学校毕业的菲奥娜的堂弟亚蒂接回王国继承王位。而这个亚蒂小子乃是中学里的懒鬼学生，要说服他回国做正经事当国王，简直比太阳从西边出来还困难。还好，三个家伙的一番软磨硬泡下来，亚蒂终于同意成行。四人的回国之旅终于开始，不过也是热闹非凡。先是史莱克发明了所谓的圆桌骑士，然后是贫嘴驴的灵魂一度爬上了穿靴猫的身上，颇为骑士的猫儿一度像驴先生那样语速奇快、出口成章，后来亚蒂居然把他自个儿的神剑赐给了贫嘴驴，而驴先生居然还变成了当初把剑送给亚蒂的“湖中女神”。与此同时，只身在王国陪伴父母的菲奥娜公主却显然遇到了不小的麻烦。她眼看着不甘心王位旁落他人的帅气的查明王子纠结了一帮邪恶的海盗，杀回遥远王国，计划掀起一场大叛乱，企图一举夺走王位。而已然深受丈夫史莱克影响的菲奥娜却不会轻易忍受邪恶来袭。和母后等一帮宫内女性们携手组织了一支妇女自救队，将王国里那些娇生惯养的公主们通通组织起来，练习武功等种种斗争技巧，坚持与查明王子的乌合之众抗争到底。而她的自救队中尽是些童话故事里知名的主儿，给前来进攻的叛军制造了无数麻烦。白雪公主、灰姑娘、睡美人、长发姑娘，连酒吧间女生男相的“老板娘”都加入进来，用她的“美色”成功诱惑了叛军的守卫。 最后，及时赶回王国的四人与王国内的妇女自救队成功汇合，与查明王子的反叛军展开了一场令人啼笑皆非的“生死”大决战……
